Who would have thought a year ago that Google and Apple would join forces and work together to aid humanity? But if 2020 has taught us anything it’s that we are in a peculiar game of Jumanji where anything is possible – and that includes two tech giants working together to create an app that can track Covid-19 infections around the world. If used correctly – this app could help detect cases in the United States.

DoorDash Announces Data Breach Effecting Nearly 5 Million People

DoorDash announced last Thursday that they were the victims of a data breach which occurred on May 4, 2019. The food delivery business, whose competition includes Grub Hub and Uber Eats, stated in a blog post that over 4.9 million people were affected by the breach. Those affected include customers, merchants, and workers who signed up for the app prior to April 5, 2018. The company states that at this point they do not have any evidence that those who signed up after the April 5th date were compromised.
